Testers Needed

Speaking of projects that I start and then lose interest in… A while back I was given a Kindle by someone who no longer wanted theirs. It’s a pretty cool device. After playing with it I was interested in using it as a portable blog reader. Problem is that you have to play to receive blogs on the Kindle… oh and I’m very cheap… That got me to thinking about using the Kindle’s web browser to attach to Google Reader. To call the Kindle’s web browser a browser is a bit of a stretch… it only supports a very limited HTML set. Google Reader doesn’t even load…

Not to give up a wrote a quick hackish PHP application that reads by subscribed feeds from Google Reader and displays them in a very basic HTML page. If there are any Kindle users out there that would like to test it I’d love some feedback. It’s very basic, but works… Let me know if you’re interested…

image This new upgrade to the Kindle is starting to get too good to resist.  Oh yeah… there is the $490 price tag.  If only I would find $300 in my sock drawer…  I say only $300 because I found $200 in my desk at home this weekend while cleaning.  I think it’s birthday money from 2007….

Anyway… check out this great review of it.  Awesome!!!
