Great video interview with Apple’s top designer Jonathan Ives.
Yesterday I was humbled by these three pieces of art.
Design Star contestant Dan Vickery turns this:

into this… using only items from a grocery store….

Then watched this video. Incredible origami matched with a well told story of the history and values of a company.
Finally, while working Michael Jackson’s Smooth Criminal came up on a Genius Playlist. This song is so good I have to stop to admire it. In my mind MJ is a genius. Only only wish he would have been able to keep making music instead of headlines…
These three works of art really hit me. My dream is that someday I’ll be able to match them in some way / form.
This week I completed the book Inside Steve’s Brain. I was a book that I’ve been dying to read and it didn’t disappoint. It’s less about Steve’s brain and more about the history of Apple and it’s products. It does discuss quite a bit of their design thinking and processes. I’m not one to like to summarize books (if you’ve read previous posts you know I keep notes in a different format) but will say you need to read this book. Actually, there’s an update coming out soon so you might wait for that.
